Engineering was taken to extremes in every way with the SVS SB16-Ultra Subwoofer. Each component is engineered from the bottom up to redefine what is possible for a reference subwoofer. Never before has a subwoofer been able to generate such high SPLs and deep low frequency extension with pinpoint accuracy and speed in transients.

To achieve this, the SB16-Ultra features a massive 16-inch Ultra driver with unprecedented 8-inch edge wound voice coil, the largest ever in a home subwoofer, which maintains accurate and precise control over the driver, even at the highest output levels. Backing the driver is a stunningly powerful 1,500 watts continuous, 5,000+ watts peak power Sledge STA-1500D amplifier with fully discrete MOSFET output. The unique MOSFET output stage produces a seemingly limitless supply of real world current so the subwoofer can deliver on the full potential of the driver. The amplifier is married to a sophisticated Analog Devices DSP, a component normally found in high end separate processors.

Control of the SB16-Ultra is possible via front panel display, credit card remote or the innovative new 16-Ultra smartphone app for Apple and Android, which offers simple volume control features as well as advanced DSP and custom presets.
