The MS-TestPro is the first affordable, elegant solution for in-the-field testing of HDBaseT-based systems and cabling. With its built-in monitoring, logging and diagnostics capabilities, installers and integrators have access to quick, efficient analysis and troubleshooting tools, helping to simplify audiovisual installations. The MS-TestPro supports HDBaseT Tx, Rx, and PoH (Power over HDBaseT) functionality, providing a highly-efficient testing platform for HDBaseT source and sink devices, powered devices, and up to 100 meters (328 feet) of CAT5e (or higher quality) cabling. The MS-TestPro can detect 4K sensitivities on the HDBaseT link, and assists installers in providing a guaranteed infrastructure for delivery of high-quality content using the market’s most advanced AV technology.
- The MS-TestPro affordable tester can analyze HDBaseT link quality effortlessly and on-the-spot. For the first time, installers and integrators can inspect quality test results in the field – and in less than a minute, detect any possible failure on the line.
- Another important and first-of-its-kind MS-TestPro feature is its ability to generate a certification report detailing the quality and performance of each cable installed, before installations but also for existing infrastructure. The HDBaseT Report Generator automatically analyzes data collected by the MS-TestPro and details the quality and performance of a CATx cable forwarding HDBaseT traffic. The report can be transferred to a computer or even to a smartphone.
- The MS-TestPro can even certify the readiness of an HDBaseT infrastructure for 4K content streaming quality, which is more sensitive to errors. Currently, HDBaseT is limited to a bandwidth of 8 Gbps. To quadruple the bandwidth, HDBaseT transitions to Pulse Amplitude Modulation with 16 levels (PAM-16) instead of 8 levels (PAM-8), increasing the possibility of error. MS-TestPro adjusts the testing criteria while switching from 1080P to a 4K resolution to meet the required transmission quality.
