Kaleidescape Strato C is simply the best AV source product for multi-room high quality TVs, projectors, screens, audio processors, video processors, multichannel amplifiers, surround sound speakers, and everything else found in a high-end theater or media room. The highest quality audio and video and beautiful, seamless user interface provides a luxury experience. The onscreen display can be used to quickly choose and play movies or favorite scenes.

This is a complete redesign of the Strato Movie Player, and update to the software architecture, addressing HDMI 2.0 cable limitations and freeing up rack space per video zone. Combined with one or more Terra Movie Servers, Strato C unlocks support for a virtually unlimited number of playback zones for 4K HDR movies at bit rates of up to 100 Mbps, a rich 4K onscreen-display with smooth seamlessly flowing graphics, and full audio decode for DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD.

The playback experience is without compromise, and without interruptions from buffering, or downgrades in quality. HD and SD movies can be up-scaled to beautiful 4K, either by the Strato C Player, or by an external scaler. Strato C can also downscale 4K content, resulting in a noticeable upgrade of the legacy display’s picture quality.

The Strato C player removes large installation limitations inherent to the Strato Movie Player’s server and player in-one architecture. Combined with the Kaleidescape Terra Movie Server, Strato C can enable an unlimited number of playback zones, and an impressive ten simultaneous 4K playbacks. This is a big deal for custom integrators because it brings Strato 4K technology to large homes and yachts.

Another advantage of the Strato C over Strato is quiet operation. Combined with its smaller size, the player is ideal for placement close to the projector or display. This is important in some installations where it is difficult to find an 18 GHz HDMI cable solution.

The Strato C Player and the Movie Store also support the highest-fidelity audio tracks, including lossless multichannel audio encoded at up to 96 KHz and 24 bits per channel, with full decoding support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, with bit-stream pass-through for all formats, including Dolby Atmos.
