The OPPO UDP-205 is a step-up version of the very successful UDP-203. It brings top-of-the-line audio performance to a universal player that supports 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and many other digital audio and video formats. The UDP-205 is one of the most feature-rich players on the market: playback of 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, regular Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, SACD, Audio CD and many other formats; High Dynamic Range; dual HDMI outputs – HDMI 2.0 for UHD and HDMI 1.4 for audio; and an HDMI 2.0 input port for external streaming devices or set-top boxes. The UDP-205 is the first ever player to support Dolby Vision in addtion to HDR10.

The UDP-205 provides reference level sound quality through the analog outputs, improves the clock precision of the HDMI audio output, and has a powerful built-in headphone amplifier. For the analog output stages, the UDP-205 utilizes two ES9038PRO DACs, which are the flagship of the ESS Sabre Pro series, delivering best-in-class audio performance.

The UDP-205 is Custom Integration friendly thanks to its RS-232 control, rear panel IR, IP control, trigger in/out and optional rack mount kit.

1) Universal disc and file format support. The player is one of the few 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc players on the market, and is compatible with almost all disc formats and a large array of media file formats. 2) Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision is an advanced HDR technology that brings real cinema experience into home theaters. UDP-205 is the first ever disc player (together with its sister model UDP-203) to support Dolby Vision. 3) Custom Integration Friendly. For high-end home theater installations, UDP-205 provides RS-232 control, back panel IR sensor, IP control, and trigger in/out ports.
